Kitchen Manager (Full-Time)

We are looking for a professional, experienced full-time Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef.

Qualified applicant must be dependable, highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about producing high-quality and made-from-scratch products. Must also be innovative, creative, and able to maintain controlled environment at a fast pace with a sense of urgency. Would also be a self-motivated, quick learner with high standards. Able to communicate well, teach, coach, mentor and provide leadership to kitchen team.

Environment is a commercial kitchen with a team of 2-3 part-time kitchen staff.

Responsibilities:

· Assist with menu development/costing

· Assist with development of new food products/business growth

· Manage kitchen staff

· Cook/bake

· Food prep

· Maintains efficient processes & recommends changes

· Manage inventory & ensures first-in/first-out (FIFO) compliance

· Assists with ordering

· Estimates cooking needs and adjusts quantities accordingly

· Ensures that kitchen equipment and food storage meet federal, state and local safety and health regulations

· Ensures kitchen area and equipment are cleaned according to proper health and sanitation standards

· Enforces safety regulations

· Has great people skills and the ability to train and motivate others

· Providepositive customer service and satisfaction in a responsive, accurate and timely manner

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent

· 3+ years commercial kitchen experience and at least 2 years of leadership experience

· ServSafe Food Manager Certified

· Knowledgeable of the impact of food allergies or intolerances

· Able to maintain a clean and efficient work environment

· Ability to work and thrive in a standards-driven environment

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Able to stand for extended periods of time

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • Generally Monday through Friday day shift with some weekend availability required

Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
